A brand new trailer featuring the four notorious serial killers was just released.
The Sakamoto Days anime took the world by storm when it came out in January 2025. Although it was less-than-stellar in terms of animation, people are still excited to see what happens in the next part of the story. According to Netflix Anime, the second cour of the series is coming out on 14 July, 2025. A brand new trailer was also released to commemorate the news.
Sakamoto Days Cour 2 cast and other details
As per the latest news, Koki Uchiyama (Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Academia, Kei Tsukishima in Haikyu!!) is joining the show as Gaku. No new voice actors have been announced yet, and the old cast is resuming their various roles in cour 2. The new trailer also showcases the cour 2 opening theme song ‘Method’ by Kroi.
The trailer also introduces the murder methods of the four notorious serial killers: Dump, Saw, Apart, and Minimalist. In the final episode of the first cour, we saw that these death row prisoners were hired by X to kill former hitmen Taro Sakamoto and Shin Asakura. Fans are excited to see what happens next as the legendary Sakamoto faces his most dangerous opponents yet.
Produced and animated by TMS Entertainment, the series is directed by Masaki Watanabe. The characters are designed by Yo Moriyama while Taku Kishimoto is in charge of the scripts. The screenplay is done by the original manga author Yuto Suzuki. The story of Sakamoto Days revolves around Taro Sakamoto, a legendary former assassin who retired from his life of crime after meeting his wife. However, it seems that the world of assassination is not ready to leave him yet. Watch Sakamoto and his protege Shin invade various hitmen’s attempts to kill them while also saving their family.
