The 5th Astra TV Awards are here! On May 15, 2025, the film critics from the Hollywood Creative Alliance announced all the nominees for the upcoming Astra TV Awards. In the Best Anime category, the awards nominated six titles, including some of the biggest names from 2024 and 2025. This year's Astra TV Awards will take place on 10 June 2025, at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles.
Astra TV Awards 2025 Best Anime nominations
According to the official website of the awards, the six anime titles nominated for the prize are:
- Dan Da Dan
- Dragon Ball DAIMA
- Fire Force Season 3
- Lazarus
- Solo Leveling Season 2 – Arise from the Shadow
- The Apothecary Diaries Season 2
Other than anime, there is also a Best Animated Series category in the awards. Batman: Caped Crusader, Harley Quinn, Invincible, Love, Death + Robots, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and The Simpsons have been nominated for the prize this year.
The Best Voiceover Performance award also includes some known names for anime fans. The nominees are:
- Kaley Cuoco in Harley Quinn
- Alex Borstein in Family Guy: Holiday Special
- Seth MacFarlane in Family Guy: Holiday Special
- Aleks Le in Solo Leveling
- Johnny Yong Bosch in Devil May Cry
- Stephanie Nadolny in Dragon Ball DAIMA
The Best Supporting Voiceover Performance prize nominees include:
- Caitlin Glass – One Piece Season 21
- J. K. Simmons – Invincible
- Jack Quaid – Star Trek: Lower Decks
- Jamie Chung – Batman: Caped Crusader
- Justin Briner – Solo Leveling Season 2
- Xolo Mariduena – Sakamoto Days
In the 2024 Astra TV Awards, Solo Leveling Season 1 bagged the Best Anime Series prize. Other nominees were: Blue Eye Samurai, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Ninja Kamui, Pluto, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.
