The bowling anime looks to be a treat for sports anime fans!
Summer is the season for unique sports anime lovers! The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the original bowling anime Turkey! -Time to Strike- just announced it’s broadcast window this summer. The official release date is 8 July, although in most countries, the series will air on 9 July due to time differences. A new preview video has also been released.

Produced by Pony Canyon, the original anime series is being animated by BAKKEN RECORD. Susumu Kudo (The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, Magic Kaito 1412) is directing the project while Naomi Hiruta (Mr. Grim Reaper, Wild Heroes) is writing it. Airi Takekawa (Penguin Highway) is the character designer for the show while Yuki Hayashi (Haikyu!!, Medalist, Sakamoto Days) is composing the music. The new trailer previews the opening theme song of the anime, ‘Zinnia’ performed by Hana Hishikawa, Kana Ichinos, Haruki Iwata, Yuuki Temma, and Ayasa Itō as their characters.
The story of the original anime follows Mai, a bowling genius who can’t seem to win. Whenever she hits a Turkey, aka three consecutive strikes, her next play lands her in the notorious Snake Eyes position, which she can’t overcome. She is the captain of the Ikkokukan High School bowling club. The only first year member of the club Rina calls Mai out, saying she does the Snake Eyes to lose on purpose. Rina threatens to quit the club if Mai doesn’t stop. This is the story of Mai and her bowling club members, Rina, Sayuri, Nozomi, and Nanase, who lose, fight, and try to win one more time.
