The summer of mystery and drama is upon us! Aniplex has announced that the Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Clause anime series is coming out on 5 July, 2025. The official website of the show, as well as its X (formerly Twitter) account have also confirmed the same. New cast members have also joined the project ahead of the release.

The new voice actors who have joined the cast are:
- Sara Himeji voiced by Konomi Kohara
- Miori Mitō voiced by Manaka Iwami
Moreover, Reina Ueda is joining the project as Miniskirt Santa/Touko Kirishima.
The main voice actors from the original anime series resume their roles. Kaito Ishikawa voices Sakuta Azusagawa while Asami Seto voices Mai Sakurajima.
The new trailer of the anime features the beginning and ending theme songs of the series. The opening theme song is ‘Snow Drop’ by Conton Candy. The ending theme song is ‘Suiheisen wa Boku no Furukizu’ by Uzuki Hirokawa, Ikumi Akagi, Sara Himeji and Toko Kirishima.
The anime is based on Hajime Kamoshida’s light novel series named Rascal Does Not Dream. This series adapts the 13th volume of the books. The manga adaptation by Tsumugi Nanamiya is also incredibly popular. The first anime, titled Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai came out in 2018. Its popularity gave birth to an anime film titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl in 2019. The second and third movies titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid were released in 2023.
