The series is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Poppin’ Party.
The BanG Dream! franchise’s original girl band Poppin’ Party is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. To celebrate the occasion, a mini anime series titled Ganso! Bandori-chan or “BanG Dream Chan” is coming out this October. The news was announced on the official website and X (Formerly Twitter) account of the franchise.

A title logo and an adorable key visual of the Poppin’ Party members were also revealed. The mini anime will have 52 episodes co-directed by Kenshiro Morii and Seiya Miyajima. Both Morii and Miyajima previously worked on the BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico mini anime series. The Ganso! Bandori-chan project was announced during Poppin’ Party’s third concert Nippon Budokan on 26 May. The sold-out concert was titled Poppin'Party 10th Anniversary LIVE ‘Hoshi no Kodou’.
BanG Dream! unveiled its first main girl band Poppin’ Party back in 2015. There are five members in the band, and they have been part of the multimedia franchise for a decade now. The fictional girl band has some real voices behind it, and fans absolutely love them. The Poppin’ Party members are:
- Kasumi Toyama voiced by Aimi (vocal, rhythm guitar)
- Sae Hanazono voiced by Sae Otsuka (lead guitar)
- Rimi Ushigome voiced by Rimi Nishimoto (bass)
- Saya Yamabuki voiced Ayaka Ohashi (drums)
- Arisa Ichigaya voiced by Ayasa Ito (keyboards)
Not only do these talented ladies voice the characters, but also play the designated instruments during live performances and concerts. Fans of this franchise can’t wait to see Poppin’ Paty’s chibi version on screen again. The BanG Dream! franchise is owned by Bushiroad and consists of manga, anime, live performances, VTubers, and rhythm games.
