“Ruri no Houseki” reveals 6 July release date and theme songs in new trailer

The anime has also unveiled the five central cast members of the series.

The upcoming mineralogy anime Ruri no Houseki (Ruri’s Jewels/Introduction to Mineralogy) just received a massive update. The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the series revealed that the anime will premiere its first episode on 6 July, 2025. The new trailer also highlights the two theme songs of the anime.

Ruri no Houseki cast and staff details

The main cast of the anime consists of:

  • Ruri Tanigawa voiced by Miyari Nemoto
  • Nagi Arato voiced by Asami Seto
  • Yoko Imari voiced by Yume Miyamoto
  • Shoko Seto voiced by Saki Hayashi
  • Aoi Kasamaru voiced by Misuzu Yamada

You can learn more about the cast and production staff in our older article. Two new theme songs were featured in the new trailer. The opening sequence is ‘Hikari no Sumika’ by Rei, while the ending theme song is ‘Sapphire’ by Hana Hope.

Shingo Fuji is directing the anime under Studio Bind. Michiko Yokote is writing the scripts with Mayu Fuji designing the characters. Daisuke Achiwa and Kazuki Inagawa are the music composers. The anime is based on Keiichiro Shibuya’s manga series of the same name. The story follows a high school girl named Ruri, who really loves minerals and jewelry. One day, she meets Nagi, a graduate student working with minerals. Their worlds collide as they find fun in the world of mineralogy.
