Jinpachi Ego sends Isagi DVDs full of old recordings of amazing plays.
After the exhilarating Neo Egoist League games, the Blue Lock manga has calmed down a bit. The latest chapter showed the protagonist Isagi visiting his parents after living in the Blue Lock dorms for a long time. After talking to his family, he receives a package from Ego. It contains old recordings of amazing plays from around the world that can make or break a game.

Blue Lock Chapter 304 recap
The chapter begins with Isagi eating dinner with his mother and father. The two of them praise him and his father urges him to eat the celebratory pork cutlets his mother made. He says that he’s visiting because there is still some time before the U-20 World Cup. His father praises his achievements and Isagi reveals that Blue Lock will take care of the overseas offers. He also thanks his parents and says that he’s happy after becoming the No. 1 player at Blue Lock. His father then jokingly mocks him by using some of the foul language Isagi uses during games, which embarrasses him. A deliveryman hands over a box from Blue Lock to Isagi.
The box is from Jinpachi Ego. Inside, there are a few DVDs, a plane ticket, and a letter. The letter says that the key to Isagi’s next evolution is inside that box. Isagi’s parents ask him what kind of person Ego is. He says that although he’s a bit antisocial and straightforward, there’s no one who believes in Japan’s ability to win the World Cup more than him. Isagi calls him ‘The Patron of My Dreams’. He then starts watching the DVDs, which highlight key points from old international matches. Isagi notices that these turning points are not goals but traps, passes, and other genius plays that changed the whole game. He realises that there is a lot left for him to learn. We then see that other contestants like Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami have also received these boxes.
Blue Lock Chapter 304 review
Not much happened in the latest chapter of the manga, and the slice-of-life look into Isagi’s family was a nice touch. It was great to see how supportive his parents are of his life and career. They believe in him, but also assure him that they’ll be there for him if things ever go wrong. Isagi seems thrilled about the new side of football he will get to discover from Ego’s gift, which is likely true for all the remaining players. It’s likely that they will talk to each other during the break or even meet up to talk strategy for the upcoming U-20 World Cup.
