Summer 2025 is stacked with new titles to look forward to!
A ton of upcoming Summer 2025 anime titles have revealed their premiere dates over the weekend, and with only a few weeks before the stacked season starts, here’s what was revealed:
Detectives These Days are Crazy!
Air date: 1 July
This comedy anime is starting July with a bang! Kadokawa streamed a new promotional video for “Detectives These Days are Crazy!” while also unveiling its 1 July premiere, additional staff, and ending theme song. Voice actors Kana Hanazawa and Tomokazu Sugita are set to perform the ending theme as their characters, titled “GORI☆GORI Feez e-Girl!!”.
The anime is set to premiere on the AT-X channel and other Japanese channels, as well as the streaming service ABEMA, although it was not divulged if the anime will stream in other global services.
Fermat no Ryori (Fermat’s Cuisine)
Air date: 5 July
The cooking anime “Fermat's Cuisine,” based on Yugo Yobayashi’s manga of the same name is gearing up for a 5 July premiere! The anime is set to air Saturdays on TV Asahi and its affiliate channels. It was also revealed that solo artist OSHIKIKEIGO is set to perform the opening theme song for the anime, titled “Maillard”, while popular boy band DXTEEN will be performing the ending theme song, “Change Over.”
There are no details as to whether Fermat no Ryori will receive a global simulrelease.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku)
Air date: 5 July
A new promotional video for the highly-anticipated romance anime “The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity” has revealed its opening and ending theme songs as well as its 5 July premiere. Tatsuya Kitani is performing the opening theme “Manazashi wa Hikari” (The Gaze is Light), while UshioReira is singing the ending theme “Hare no Hi ni” (On This Sunny Day). Additionally, Netflix is set to bring the anime to online streaming, although no set date has been revealed.
Nyaight of the Living Cat
Air date: 6 July
The cats are coming to take over! The comedy anime “Nyaight of the Living Cat” gave a sneak peek over on IGN, where the platform featured its first two minutes, while also confirming its 6 July premiere date. The anime is set to be globally streamed by Crunchyroll in North America, Central America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Macau. Sony Pictures Entertainment is distributing in Asia and Japan.
The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princess
Air date: 12 July
The fantasy comedy anime is gearing up for a 12 July premiere, with the anime also revealing its main visual. The title will be broadcast a week early through ABEMA, and will also be available on the channel’s streaming service.
Theatre of Darkness: Yamishibai Season 15
Air date: 13 July
The short horror anime anthology series is ready to chill viewers this coming 13 July with a new season. Alongside the announcement, a key visual, staff details, and ending theme song have been revealed. Naoto Inti Raymi is performing the ending theme, titled “Daeto”. Previous seasons for the title are currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
