We have great news for all Yuri lovers! There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless…, popularly known as Watanare (Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Naijan, Muri…) anime is all set to air on 7 July. A new cast member, as well as the opening and ending theme songs were revealed in the brand new trailer for the Girls Love series.

According to the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime, the newest member joining the anime cast is:
- Haruna Amaori voiced by Mayu Sagara (Manami in Demon Lord, Retry!, Lucaria in A Nobody's Way Up to an Exploration Hero)
Previously announced voice cast includes:
- Renako Amaori voiced by Kanna Nakamura
- Mai Oduka voiced by Saori Onishi
- Ajisai Sena voiced by Yukari Anzai
- Satsuki Koto voiced by Kana Ichinose
- Kaho Koyanagi voiced by Takako Tanaka
The new trailer revealed the opening theme song of the series: ‘Muri Muri Evolution’ performed by Nanaokari.
The ending theme song is ‘Mayocchauwa’ by Philosophy no Dance.
Animated and produced by Studio MOTHER, the series is directed by Natsumi Uchinuma. Character designs are being done by Kojikoji while Naruhisa Arakawa is writing the script and handling series composition. Takayuki Yamaguchi is the sound director alongside Yoshiaki Fujisawa, who is handling the music.
The original light novel series is written by Teren Mikami and illustrated by Eku Takeshima. A manga adaptation by Musshu has also been released. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the light novel and manga in English. The website describes the story of the novel as:
