Lesprit produces the anime adaptation of Ko Nikaido’s manga.
The upcoming slice-of-life, comedy anime series With You and the Rain (Ame to Kimi to) just revealed its release date. The official website and X account of the anime both confirmed that the series will air on 5 July, 2025. Three new cast members have also been announced.

The new voice actors joining the cast are:
- Hiura voiced by Shuhei Sakaguchi (Mason in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Shaka in One Piece)
- Hojo voiced by Mitsuho Kambe (Oshizu Hebimori in Akebi’s Sailor Uniform, Izutsumi in Dungeon Meshi)
- Arata voiced by Yume Miyamoto (Yui Mitsuya in I Have a Crust at Work, Maki Kuwana in Blue Period)
The previously announced voice cast includes:
- Fuji voiced by Saori Hayami
- Mimi voiced by Yuna Kamakura
- Ren voiced by Satomi Sato
- Kii Ella Krause voiced by Yuzu Yumoto
- You (Kimi) voiced by Anna Mugiho
- Tatsuo voiced by Yōji Ueda
- Michiko voiced by Mie Sonozaki
- Teru voiced by Kikunosuke Toya
- Wako voiced by Yumiri Hanamori
- Veterinarian voiced by Chafurin
You can read more about the cast in our previous article. The series is being produced by Lesprit with Tomohiro Tsukimisato directing it. Toko Michida is in charge of series composition while Ayano Owada designs all the characters. Rei Ishizuka is in charge of the music.
The anime is adapted from Ko Nikaido’s manga series of the same name which started publishing in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine in 2020. Crunchyroll will stream the series globally, and describes the story as:
On a rainy day, Fuji meets a cute critter posing as a dog and offering an umbrella and a cue card that says, “Please take me home,” and she can’t resist. With this dog-poster’s quirky charm and mysterious ways, life together becomes a heartwarming adventure of friendship and shared seasons.
