Dead Account anime reveals January 2026 premiere, additional cast, and other details in new trailer

The series is based on Shimizu Watanabe’s manga series.

After a few months since it was first announced, the upcoming Dead Account anime finally released its first trailer. Not only does it grant fans a first look at the series, but also reveals new characters and voice actors. The official website and social media accounts of the anime has also confirmed that it will debut in January 2026, although a definitive release date remains unknown.

Dead Account anime additional cast, staff, and other details

The new voice actors joining the cast include:

  • Renri Hasumi voiced by Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer, Ikki Niko in Blue Lock)
  • Hiyori Hajima voiced by Machico (Tōkai Teiō in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Sena in Farming Life in Another World)
  • Maruhiko Emoto voiced by Ryōta Suzuki (Yū Ishigami in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Toma Hiragi in Wind Breaker)
  • Yoimaru Azaki voiced by Takuya Satō (Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Albert James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot)

Previously announced main cast members of the anime include:

  • Soji Enishiro voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto
  • Kukuru Kasubata voiced by Koki Uchiyama
  • Kiyomi Urusugawa voiced by Fairouz Ai

The upcoming shounen anime is being directed by Keiya Saito at studio Synergy SP. Mitsutaka Hirota is the series’ scriptwriter while Keiji Inai composes the music at Nippon Columbia. The newly announced staff members include:

  • Art Directors: Seika Fujii, Saho Yamane
  • Director of Photography: Haruka Serizawa
  • Color Design: Eitarō Ano
  • Editing: Yūsuke Ueno
  • Sound Director: Ryōsuke Naya

The Dead Account anime is based on Shimizu Watanabe’s manga of the same name. Kodansha publishes the series on their K Manga platform, which describes the story as:

Always ready for a fight! Destruction for destruction’s sake! The online streamer Aoringo is a troll, making the worst of the worst of boundary-pushing flamebait content and raking in the revenue from the hate-watchers. You may think he’s nothing more than a bottom feeder and a drain on society, but in reality, he’s high school dropout Soji Enishiro, a caring older brother with a sweet tooth who loves nothing more than his little sister. His viral videos? Just a way to pay his sister’s medical bills. And even if all of humanity hates him, he doesn’t care, so long as his little sister gets better. But then, something very strange begins to happen...
