The anime omnibus project will stream on YouTube and air on television.
A website which launched Thursday, 12 July, revealed a new project that aims to create 5-minute vertical anime adapting four stories from popular light novel authors. The project, aptly called ‘Light-Novel Anime’, aims to create a new type of short anime for smartphones, and directly works with the authors and illustrators.
Currently, the first two works ‘Heartbreak Time Leap’ and ‘Femme Fatale Raising Project’ are being released in parts over the next 10 days as YouTube Shorts. ‘Heartbreak Time Leap' has two Shorts already available for viewing.
The works are also being re-edited for television broadcast in a horizontal format, and will begin airing from 12 July on ABC TV, TV Asahi, as well as their affiliates, with the program title ‘Shukan Ranobe Anime’ (Weekly Light Novel Anime).
