The sports manga to anime film adaptation is set to premiere in North American theatres this Fall.
The popular sports manga 100 METERS (Hyakuemu) by Uoto is getting adapted into an anime movie. In Japan, the film will premiere theatrically on 19 September, 2025. GKIDS is releasing the film in North America in October, although the dates remain unknown. Ahead of the release, 10 new cast members have been revealed who will voice various roles in the film.

The 10 new voice actors who have joined the cast are:
- Nigami voiced by Jun Kasama (Aran Ojiro in Haikyu!! TO THE TOP, Wilibald Koenig in Isekai Quartet)
- Asakusa voiced by Rie Takahashi (Ai Hoshino in Oshi No Ko, Sumi Sakurasawa in Rent-A-Girlfriend)
- Shiina voiced by Yuki Tanaka (Saori in Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night, Rinrin Takahashi in Trillion Game)
- Young Togashi voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger in Spy x Family, Frieren in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End)
- Young Komiya voiced by Aoi Yuki (Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia, Maomao in The Apothecary Diaries)
- Kabanoki voiced by Yuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Haruka Sakura in Wind Breaker)
- Numano voiced by Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen, Shingo Natori in Wind Breaker)
- Kyoden voiced by Haruki Ishiya (Jun Yagami in Salaryman’s Club, William Ares in Villainess Level 99)

- Komiya voiced by Shota Sometani (Tanabe in Wolf Children, Minoru Okabe in Suzume)
- Zaitsu voiced by Koki Uchiyama (Kei Tsukishima in Haikyu!!, Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Academia)
- Kaido voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda (Kento Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen, Joe Logan / Higan in Ninja Kamui)
The movie is being directed by Kenji Iwaisawa at studio Rock 'n' Roll Mountain. Keisuke Kojima designs the characters and is also the chief animation director. Keikankun Yamaguchi is the art director while Yusuke Terada, Yuki Katayama and Akane Taketsugu are the producers. The film is based on Uoto’s original manga series that Kodansha published from 2018-2019. GKIDS will distribute the movie in North America and describes the story as:
100 METERS follows Togashi, a track star who is born to run. As a kid, he is naturally gifted and wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. In teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win no matter what. Years pass by, and Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track and reveal their true selves.
