The movie is set to premiere in Japanese theatres on 22 August.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the Starwing Paradox prequel film “As One” has revealed additional voice cast ahead of its 22 August Japanese theatre premiere. Previously, the film revealed that Ruki Shiroiwa, a member of Japanese boy band JO1, would voice the protagonist, Yoh.
As One additional cast and other information
Here are the new cast members:
- Haruka Shiraishi as Laco
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Vigo
- Yoko Hikasa as Kizana
- Ryuuhei Maruyama as Leroy, which will be his debut role
The film is being produced and animated by Honoo and Studio GOONEYS. Kobun Shizuno is directing the movie while Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, who also worked on the game, is returning to design characters for the project. Other staff members include:
- Shatner Nishida and Masaya Honda as scriptwriters
- Ippei Gyōbu as mechanical designer
- Joe Teng and Takafumi Yūki as production supervisors and producers
The As One film takes place 20 years before the Square Enix game Starwing Paradox. The movie follows a boy named Yoh, who wants to become a musician, but is struggling with the weight of his family’s expectations. One day in Shibuya, Yoh hears a voice in his head asking for help, and his life changes completely.
