The legendary love speech featured in the final episode for Hyakkano Season 2 has netted the anime a Guinness World Record.
The whopping 7,453-character love speech by Rentaro Aijou in Episode 24 of “The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You” Season 2 (shortened to Hyakkano) is now a Guinness World Record holder!
The news, which was revealed through the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the series, confirmed that the iconic speech now holds the Guinness World Record for the “longest line in a Japanese anime.” Wataru Kato, who voices Rentarou, received the official certificate in behalf of the anime.
The love speech, which features Rentarou enumerating the many reasons why he loves each of his 11 girlfriends, has become a popular piece of media since it first came out in the 37th chapter of the manga back in November 2020. The speech took up an entire page and two elongated speech bubbles, with the font significantly decreased from standard sizing to fit.

The anime adapted the speech in full for the show's finale just this Spring 2025 season, but sped it up significantly to keep up with program timing. The monologue's regular speed was exclusively included in the Blu-ray release for the anime, but it will also now be publicly screened through a special event planned for 18 October. The event will also include a cast talk show.
