In the USA and many other countries, the series will air on 7 September.
One of the most anticipated Summer 2025 anime just lost its Summer anime status in many countries. That’s right, Netflix has announced that The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity will premiere in the USA and some other territories on 7 September, 2025. This is a massive delay seeing the show will air in Japan and other Asian countries on 5 July, while India and some other territories have confirmed a 13 July release date.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity gets delayed for two months
Fans sensed a red flag when Netflix Anime released the trailer for the upcoming series, and it only said ‘Coming 2025’ despite clear release dates in Asia. A compilation video of their Summer 2025 anime lineup was later on published, however, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity was surprisingly absent. It included clips from Dandadan Season 2, Sakamoto Days Season 1 Part 2, Leviathan, The Summer Hikaru Died, My Melody and Kuromi, as well as continuing series such as Witch Watch, One Piece, Yaiba: Samurai Legend, and Mashle: Magic and Muscles. However, Netflix later announced that The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity won’t be available in the USA, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Colombia, France, and several other non-Asian territories till 7 September.
People who have been waiting for the series are understandably angry with the new revelation. CloverWork’s Summer Romance Trilogy was made up of The Bunny Girl Senpai sequel, My Dress-up Darling and The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity. But now, a majority of the international audience won’t be able to stream the series during the summer season at all. Previously, Netflix staggered releases with several other anime titles such as Blue Box, Sakamoto Days, and Pokémon. Fans still don’t understand the massive two-month delay for a title which was Summer 2025’s most-anticipated release.
