The main cast, staff, and other details have also been revealed alongside a trailer.
The popular dark fantasy novel Teogonia, by Tsukasa Tanimai, is getting an anime adaptation very soon. The staff had already confirmed that the anime would be released in 2025 last year, along with a first-look teaser. However, on January 15, 2025, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the series revealed that the anime will start airing its episodes in April 2025. However, a definitive release date is yet to be confirmed.
Along with this announcement came an illustration of the four main characters of the series from the light novels’ illustrator Kouichiro Kawano. The author of the story Tsukasa Tanimai also made a comment on the social media platform expressing his gratitude towards his fans who made this adaptation possible. We also know that the protagonist Kai will be voiced by Mutsumi Tamura, known for her work as Vegapunk York in One Piece and Kobayashi in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. Kana Hanazawa, known for her work in Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer and Lucy Maud Montgomery in Bungo Stray Dogs, will be voicing Jose. The rest of the cast hasn’t been announced yet.
Teoginia anime is being produced by Asahi Production, with Kunihiro Mori directing it. Tomoyasu Okubo is handling the scripts with Kenji Fujisawa in charge of the music. The ending theme Tsuki to Boku to Atarashii Jibun is being performed by STU4. The story takes place in a fantasy world where humans have to survive alongside other violent creatures such as Ogres and Macaque. A boy named Kai, who has been forced to fight battles ever since childhood, suddenly starts recalling memories of a world with much-advanced technology. Stuck in never-ending wars, Kai can change the lives of the humans around him.
