The original anime series by P.A. Works will premiere in October 2025.
It was announced that the upcoming original anime series by P.A. Works, Towa no Yugure (Dusk Beyond the End of the World), will be streamed exclusively by HIDIVE. The official X account of HIDIVE confirmed the news, and also released an English subtitled trailer for the anime. According to the announcement, the series will premiere on HIDIVE sometime in October, but the date hasn’t been confirmed yet.

HIDIVE will also release the first two episodes of the upcoming series in a world premiere at the Anime NYC 2025 convention on 24 August at the Javits Center in New York City. Fans will be able to watch the anime on the platform sometime in October.
The main cast of the series so far includes:
- Akira Himegami voiced by Shūichirō Umeda
- Yugure voiced by Yui Ishikawa
- Towasa Ōmaki voiced by Ai Kayano
The original sci-fi drama series Dusk Beyond the End of the World is being produced by P.A. Works with Naokatsu Tsuda as the director and scriptwriter. Midori Tayama handles the original character designs while Yoshiko Saito handles the character designs for the animation. Masahiro Tokuda is composing the music for the anime.
The story of the upcoming anime centers around Akira Himegami, a high school student who went into a cold sleep. Waking up after 200 years, Akira finds the world around ravaged and destroyed by war. An organisation named OWEL now leads the people while a system called Elise has replaced traditional marriage. Akira meets an android named Yugure, who looks like his old crush Towasa, whom he proposed to before entering cold sleep. After the miscommunication is cleared, Akira and Yugure undertake a journey together to find Towasa as the protagonist believes she still exists in this world.
