Jiji and Evil Eye combine their power to take down the Smoke Yokai.
In the previous chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga, Jiji and Evil Eye combined their powers to take a new form. To bypass his Evil Gun power, Saint Germain uses his smoke transformation ability to enter Jiji’s lungs. However, thanks to Seiko’s training, the young boy has an effective method of ejecting unwanted influences from his body. In the end, he safely rescues Seiko with his determination and skill.

Dandadan Chapter 206 recap
The issue begins with Jiji and Evil Eye’s new combined form. He looks at Saint Germain and says that he can defeat him now because he can use the Evil Gun and Evil Eye’s powers at the same time. Saint Germain asks if they have finally fused together, to which Jiji says that they can’t do anything that awesome yet. They’re merely switching back and forth at an incredibly high speed, something they practiced while playing video games. Much like how a light bulb appears to be constantly lit if the switch is turned off and on like at high speed, Jiji and Evil Eye merely appear to be fused.
Jiji prepares an attack for Saint Germain, but the villain realises that since they’re still only switching bodies, their essential nature hasn’t changed. He deforms his body into a cloud of smoke and surrounds Jiji. The smoke enters his nose and he falls to his knees coughing. He tells Jiji that he has entered his lungs, and when he tries to use the Evil Gun in this body, its power is significantly weakened. Germain points out that to use the fully powered Evil Gun, he would need his flesh-and-blood Jiji body. But when he does that, Germain will expand and burst his body from within.
While gasping for air, Jiji remembers what Seiko told him: that if he can control his Chi, it won’t matter how big the obstacle in front of him is. He takes a deep breath and uses all his power to punch his own stomach. This spiritual punch causes Saint Germain to be ejected from his body. After being slammed into the wall from the force, Saint Germain asks Jiji if he shot himself with the attack. Jiji cups his nose and mouth so as to not let Germain enter again. Germain says he can’t defeat him so easily.
However, Jiji uses his Evil Gun to stop Germain’s body from dispersing into smoke. When he uses his Evil Gun to hold Germain tight, it takes him some time to turn into smoke again. Jiji tells the villain that the woman he was standing on was the one who said she’ll make him her family, so he shouldn’t stand on her like that. Then he pulls all his strength together to punch Saint Germain out of the building. Jiji turns around and scoops Seiko’s unconscious body into his arms. He says that if his master had been in top form, then she could’ve taken down the evil man easily.

Much like Saint Germain, I also thought Jiji and Evil Eye have finally fused together, but I guess we still have to wait some time before that happens. I’m glad that they figured out a way to bypass that by using their genius level skills and speed. Thanks to Seiko’s rigorous training and his natural talent, Jiji is basically a genius who has a yokai that’s incredibly powerful.
It seems that their strength will grow even more now that the final battle is approaching. In the next chapter, Momo and Vamola will likely fight off the ninjas and make it out alive. But will they be fast enough to reach the shrine and complete the ritual in time to get Momo back to her original size?
