The Rooster Fighter anime adaptation, based on Shū Sakuratani’s manga was announced a while ago. Recently, on 23 August, the anime’s panel at Anime NYC announced five new characters and their voice actors. Later, the official social media sites of the series also revealed all the new cast members.
Rooster Fighter anime new cast and other details
The new cast members of the upcoming anime are:
- Kugone voiced by Yuko Kaida
- Yuji voiced by Jun Kasama
- Hikari voiced by Natsumi Fujiwara
- Sara voiced by Hikaru Tono
- Keizan voiced by Akio Otsuka
The previously announced main cast of the anime includes:
- Keiji voiced by Kenta Miyake
- Elizabeth voiced by Mariko Honda
- Piyoko voiced by Shiori Izawa
- Morio voiced by Mitsuaki Kanuka
- Keisuke voiced by Tomohiro Ōno
Daisuke Suzuki directs the anime at SANZIGEN. Hiroshi Seko is writing the series scripts. Joseph Chou and Sola Entertainment are producing the project. The anime will stream on Adult Swim in the USA. Viz Media is in charge of the series’ worldwide streaming, TV broadcast, home video, electronic sell-through, and merchandising outside of Japan while Hero’s Inc will do the same in Japan. Viz Media will unveil the other streaming platforms for the anime at a later date. Viz Media also publishes Shū Sakuratani’s Rooster Fighter manga in English and describes the story as:
