Ai Yazawa’s manga is still loved by fans across the world.
It’s the 25th anniversary of popular manga series NANA by Ai Yazawa, which began in the year 2000 and went on an indefinite hiatus in 2009. Despite being unfinished, the series is beloved by thousands of fans across the world due to its mature themes and incredible storytelling.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series, an exclusive collaboration with the British fashion house Vivienne Westwood has been announced!

In an exclusive report by Cosmopolitan, it was revealed that a new boxed set version of the manga will be released soon. However, the 25th anniversary box-set is extremely special, as the mangaka Ai Yazawa has created an exclusive cover design. The new cover features the manga’s two heroines, Nana Osaka and Nana Komatsu in head-to-toe Vivienne Westwood attire. It seems that the two Nanas are ready to burn the runway down!
In the cover, Nana Komatsu wears an elegant pink outfit whereas Nana Osaka boasts a rebellious maroon one. The volume also has sprayed edges and a cool, sleek design that collectors will love. The 25th anniversary edition will be released on 30th October. In the US, it will be exclusively available in Books-a-Million while in the UK it can be found in Waterstones. A select few Vivienne Westwood stores will also carry them for a limited time.
Although it has been on a hiatus for over 15 years, people’s love and hope for NANA has not been diminished. A while ago, it was revealed that Ai Yazawa might be planning to start the manga again after a long hiatus.
With the Vivienne Westwood collaboration, people’s hopes have been reignited.
