Okarun is determined to make Momo remember him again.
The previous chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan manga was incredibly lore-heavy as we learned the name of the Smoke Yokai Enenra. Moreover, it was also revealed that Saint Germain plans to pretend to be friendly with humans so he can create the Ultimate Yokai. On the other hand, the latest chapter 212 of the manga focused on Momo and Okarun’s group. Unfortunately, Momo doesn’t remember any of them and has forgotten her powers as well. However, Okarun isn’t ready to give up on her.

Dandadan Chapter 212 recap
The previous chapter 211 of the Dandadan manga focused on Saint Germain and his lackeys. We learn that they’re now operating as a bakery. Enenra, the Smoke Yokai who attacked Momo, Jiji, and Vamola, returns to the shop and reports to Germain. Instead of punishing Enenra, aka The Red Baron, Germain says they need to cultivate more exceptional gifts in humans like Kouki’s ‘Lord of the Flies’.
He says they will need to make friends with more humans who can handle Yokai abilities so they can create the Ultimate Yokai. On the other hand, Seiko revealed to Jiji that there’s an organisation called The Black Paladins, who take people’s powers and Yokai curses to become diviners at top companies to help them take down other companies.
The recent chapter 212 begins with Okarun practicing a movement to improve his Chi while walking to school. People look at him weirdly, but soon, Aira also joins and starts copying him. She says that she’s all better now thanks to Queen-sensei’s healing powers. However, after helping her, Queen-sensei got sick and even vomited. Apparently, her level of illness is equivalent to how much healing she provided to a person.
Aira starts bantering with Okarun, but soon, they’re interrupted by Jiji. He announces that Momo is all fixed and back to her normal size. However, before he can talk about her recent amnesia, Momo and Vamola walk up to them. Even though Momo doesn’t remember Aira, she starts verbally fighting with her the moment Aira provokes her. Jiji tries to stop them but they continue their argument.
However, after some time, Jiji finally tells their friends how Momo doesn’t remember anything from the past few months: including her friends and her powers. Momo is also very shaken up and confused about it as people she can’t remember keep approaching her. Okarun remembers all the moments they spent together. At school, Momo remembers her old friends Miko and Kei. In his class, Takakura reminisces about the many times Momo called after him to include him in everything. Once class is over, he heads over to Momo’s classroom to call her just like she used to do for him.
Dandadan Chapter 212 review
It seems that Saint Germain’s group has a lot more members already. It’s likely that their connection with the Black Paladins will also be revealed soon. However, right now, I’m more interested to see how Okarun and the others plan to bring back Momo’s memories. Even if she doesn’t remember everything, it’s absolutely vital for her to recall her powers and how to use them if they want to win their next battle. With the amount of powerful beings Saint Germain has collected, it won’t be easy for the group at all. It will be impossible if Momo can’t use her incredibly strong psychic ability.
