The previously-delayed Tsuyokute New Saga has announced five new characters, as well as a new trailer and visual.
Set to finally premiere in 2025 after a 2-year hiatus, Tsuyokute New Saga has announced five new characters alongside its additional cast, as well as a stunning new trailer and visual.
Originally announced to be animated by Yokohama Animation Library, Tsuyokute New Saga is now being produced by SOTSU in tandem with the recently-established Studio Clutch. The anime will air in July 2025, but no exact date has been revealed as of yet.
The new characters and cast members are as follows:
- Milena - Kaori Maeda (Miko in Dandadan, Ririsa Amano is 2.5 Dimensional Seduction)
- Zentos - Hiroki Yasumoto (Hyo in Sakamoto Days, Creed Deckard in Undead Unluck)
- Miranda - Riho Sugiyama (Yoko Araki in Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture)
- Gou - Rie Hikasa
- Gazas - Toru Inada
The remainder of the cast, which was announced previously, are:
- Kyle - Yuma Uchida
- Seran - Hiro Shimono
- Riize - Ai Fairouz
- Urza - Masami Seto
- Sildonia - Minami Takahashi
The anime is based on the light novels by Masayuki Abe and illustrated by Ryuta Fuse, which were published from 2013 to 2018 with a total of 10 volumes. A manga adaptation by Jun Miura also ran from 2014 to 2023, and was licensed by Alpha Manga. The official description of the story is as follows:
After a grueling battle, the magic knight Kyle finally defeats the demon lord... or so he believes. He wakes up to find himself in the land that had been destroyed in his past life. He is reunited with the precious person he thought he had lost forever. To stop the human world from being destroyed again, along with his friends, Kyle uses his memory from his previous life to once again save the world! A fantasy saga about a brave knight!
Tsuyokute New Saga is directed by Naoki Mizusawa, with Kenta Ihara handling series composition. Naoki Horiuchi served as episode director, and Nilitsu worked on character design.
