A new key visual of the main character of the anime has also been published.
The beloved slice-of-life manga series Wash It All Away (Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka) by Mitsuru Hattori just announced an anime adaptation! The series is set to premiere some time in 2026, although a definitive date hasn’t been revealed yet. Additionally, the official website and new X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime has also unveiled the main cast members, as well as the core staff working on the series production.

The main protagonist of the anime Wakana Kinme will be voiced by Sayumi Suzuhiro (Kei Shirogane in Kaguya Sama: Love is War, Nijika Ijichi in Bocchi the Rock!) A statement by the voice actress about her feelings regarding the role has also been published on the X account.
Studio Okuruto Noboru is producing and animating the upcoming anime. Kenta Onishi is listed as the director while Toko Machida is handling the scripts as well as series composition. Azuma Tozawa is designing the characters for the anime. A celebratory illustration and comment from the author Mitsuru Hattori has been revealed on the anime’s X account. The author also posted an illustration of Wakana Kinme on their personal X account.
The Wash It All Away manga was published in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan magazine from 2017 to 2023. The official website of Square Enix describes the manga’s premise as:
For two years, Wakana Kinme has run a laundry service in the seaside resort town of Atami. Kinme Cleaning is a well-loved business, and Atami residents admire Wakana's devotion to her trade. She builds a fulfilling life making friends with the locals and visiting hot springs. Although Wakana has no knowledge of her own past, her cleaning services safeguard memories imbued in customers' precious items.
