The Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie is set to come out in Spring 2026. The news of the anime movie coming out next year was announced previously. However, this is the first time fans got to know that not only will the first part come out next year in Spring, but also that the movie will be divided into two or more parts.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account and the official website of the project have both confirmed a Spring 2026 release window for the first movie. Unfortunately, no release date has been decided as of yet.
Kyoto Animation continues to produce the movie as it has done for all the shows and films in the series. The final movie will be divided into two parts, although we have no idea when the second movie might air. The films will compile key moments from the third and final season of the anime, as well as some additional scenes.
The Sound! Euphonium anime series is based on the novel series by Ayano Takeda. A manga adaptation by Hami has also been published. The anime series is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Crunchyroll streams all seasons of the anime, and describes the story as:
Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.
