Devil May Cry animated series reveals Japanese voice cast ahead of global release

The anime will premiere on 3 April.

During the Anime Japan 2025 stage, Netflix unveiled the Japanese cast for their much-awaited animated series Devil May Cry. Based on CAPCOM’s video game series of the same name, the Devil May Cry anime will air on Netflix on 3 April, 2025. After some blood-pumping trailers, fans are excited to learn more about the cast of the upcoming series.

Devil May Cry Japanese voice cast details

As per Netflix, the main Japanese cast of the series consists of:

  • Dante voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa (Japanese voice actor of Dante in the game, Kagaya Ubuyashiki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)
  • Lady voiced by Fumiko Orikasa (Japanese voice actor of Lady in the game, Rukia Kukichi in Bleach)
  • Vergil voiced by Hiroaki Hirata (Japanese voice actor of Vergil in the game, Vinsmoke Sanji in One Piece)

Previously, we learned that in the English-dubbed version of the series, Johnny Yong Bosch will voice Dante, Robbie Daymond will voice Vergil, Scout Taylor-Compton will voice Mary, Hoon Lee will voice  White Rabbit, and Chris Coppola will voice Enzo. The late Kevin Conroy, in a posthumous role, will voice VP Baines. You can learn more about the anime’s staff on our website.

Netflix recently unveiled a brand new trailer which gave the audience a glimpse of Dante’s next adventures as a devil hunter. The Japanese version of the trailer is now available as well. It was intriguing because one of the main antagonists of the anime is White Rabbit, a demon who originated from the Devil May Cry 3 prequel manga and not the original game series. The glimpse of Vergil emerging from the raging fire to call Dante has hyped the fans for what’s in store. You will be able to watch the series on Netflix when it premieres.
