The original anime will air on 2 July, 2025.
The original anime series Onmyō Kaiten Re:birth Verse just announced that the show will premiere on 2 July, 2025. Fans are glad to see this unique take on the Isekai genre become a part of the Summer 2025 line up. Additionally, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime also announced the names of four new voice actors who are joining the crew. A brand new trailer featuring all the new voice actors has also been released.

The new cast members joining the project are:
- Atsunaga voiced by Kaito Ishikawa (Tobio Kageyama in Haikyu!!, Jin Enjoji in Dandadan)
- Yura voiced by Anna Nagase (Riko Amanai in Jujutsu Kaisen, Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad Isekai)
- Kazura voiced by Marina Inoue (Armin Arlert in Attack on Titan, Momo Yaoyorozu in My Hero Academia)
- Shino voiced by Chihaya Yoshitake (Yūna Hijirisawa in Love Live! Superstar!!, Sonia Yanagi in Healer Girl)
Previously announced voice actors include:
- Takeru Narehira voiced by Taihi Kimura (Segawa in Skip and Loafer, Aoki in Ramen Akaneko)
- Tsukimiya voiced by Maaya Uchida (Seik Ijichi in Bochhi the Rock!, Angel Devil in Chainsaw Man)
- Abeno Seimei voiced by Ryohei Kimura (Ryouta Kise in Kuroko’s Basketball, Kōtaro Bokuto in Haikyu!!)

A manga series, written by Sakuno and illustrated by Kyūjo, also started publishing on 6 February on the Monthly Two manga website by Kodansha.
The story of the anime follows high school delinquent Takeru Narehira, who doesn’t have any friends. He has developed feelings for Tsukimiya, a mysterious girl who visits him everyday in his dreams. One day, after a terrible accident, Takeru wakes up in a completely different world. It’s an alternate Heian-kyo from the Heian era, but also immensely technologically advanced. Not only does he find Tsukimiya in this world, but also learns that a powerful Onmyoji named Abeno Seimei guards the world. But when a monster known as Oni kills him and Tsukimiya, Takeru thinks it’s all over, until he wakes up in the Heian era again and sees Tsukimiya alive. He dedicates his life to train under Seimei and become an Onmyoji to save Tsukimiya’s life.
