An original anime based on Wagami Labs’ web3 project, “Shinsei Galverse” is confirmed to be in production, and is scheduled for a Summer 2025 release. The news came from the official X (formerly Twitter) account for the series.
The Tokyo-based NFT project has also revealed its full staff and some scene cuts, although details regarding its format and exact broadcast date are yet to be announced.

Ayaka Oohira, the founder and creator of the web3 project, is slated as director at studio S.o.K, with Yuuta Takamura (The Most Notorious “Talker” Runs the World’s Greatest Clan, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable) acting as co-director. The script is done through a collaboration by Natsuko Takahashi (The Aristocrat’s Otherworldy Adventure) and Masahiro Ookubo (Gleipnir). The character designs are being helmed by Satoshi Ishino (Date a Live), with sub-character designs by Momo Nagayama (Spriggan).

According to a press release by the series on PR Times, Shinsei Galverse is “a next-generation anime project with a global community at its core.” The anime will incorporate gal culture into a nostalgic ‘90s and 2000s anime aesthetic, but with modern values. Furthermore, the series is said to adopt a “unique style of sharing the production process with fans”, wherein the community actively participates in naming planets, creating costume design, all the way to promotional strategies.
The official synopsis for the series is as follows:
The galaxy was once kept in harmony by a sacred star called "Mother Planet."
However, Mother is suddenly hit by a mysterious force and causes a massive explosion, disappearing.
The galaxy has become a chaotic world of constant conflict.
The fragments of Mother reached various planets in the galaxy and were reborn as thought entities called "Galverse."
In order to restore peace to the galaxy once again, Galbars uses her extraordinary abilities and natural gal mind to fight against the evil organization, the Space End Society, while also uncovering the truth behind the galaxy.
