Hanako and Nene are coming back with more friends and enemies.

The first season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun came out back in 2020 and was received incredibly well by anime fans. Based on the manga written by Iro and illustrated by Aida, this anime won everyone’s hearts with its unique storyline and magnificent art style. Unfortunately, for almost four years, there was no news about the original anime series coming back. Thankfully, the show is set to return with an all new season.

The second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun is set to air on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 2 AM PST on Crunchyroll. This translates to a release time of 6 PM SGT, and 3:30 PM IST on the same day. International audiences will be able to watch the series every week on Crunchyroll when new episodes are released. After the airing of the original Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun series, a spin-off anime project titled After-School Hanako-Kun was released in 2023 with eight episodes. Season 2 of the same series came out in 2024 with four episodes. However, fans are glad to have the original series back as the story left off at a very critical moment.

The first season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun focused on Nene Yashiro, a middle-school girl who summons Hanako-san, one of the school’s seven wonders to grant her wish. However, Hanako-san, who lives in the girls’ toilet, turns out to be a boy ghost who died years ago. Nene and Hanako start getting closer as more and more paranormal elements from the school start acting up. The series also introduced Hanako’s brother Tsukasa, who is also a wish-granting spirit. The upcoming season will delve into the members of the broadcasting club, Sakura and Natsuhiko, and why they want to agitate the seven wonders of the academy.
