Fans came together at the One-Punch Man panel to break the world record.
There is much to be happy about if you’re a fan of One-Punch Man in 2025. Not only is the anime coming back with a third season after six years in October, but the series and its fans were able to break a world record! During the OPM panel at Anime Expo 2025, which both One-Punch Man creator ONE and manga artist Yusuke Murata joined, fans of the series helped the beloved title achieve a Guinness World Record.
What World Record did One-Punch Man set?
During the panel, a total of 1,107 dedicated fans performed the iconic Maji Naguri (Serious Punch) from the series. It is one of the manga and anime’s protagonist Saitama’s signature moves. The sheer amount of fans performing the action together at one place broke the world record for most people performing Saitama’s Serious Punch. This is truly an incredible way of not only celebrating the series, but also the creators who have worked hard to make One-Punch Man one of the most entertaining shonen manga of our age.
Viz Media publishes the One-Punch Man manga in English, and has also secured the rights for the anime’s third season across multiple territories. It was also previously announced that One-Punch Man Season 3 is coming back in October 2025. Unfortunately, no release dates were announced during the Anime Expo panel as fans had been hoping. You can watch the first two seasons of One-Punch Man on Crunchyroll right now, and describes the story as:
Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he became so powerful that he can defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside
Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association.
However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou makes his own appearance.
