My Hero Academia: Vigilantes new cast details
It was revealed that popular voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa (Kagaya Ubuyashiki in Demon Slayer, Minato Namikaze in Naruto, Scopper Gaban in One Piece) is joining the cast as Captain Celebrity. It’s said that he’s a Pro Hero who came to Japan from America. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime also released a comment from the famed voice actor.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a prequel and spinoff to Kohei Horikoshi’s original My Hero Academia manga. Written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, the manga takes place five years before the original series. The anime follows Koichi Haimawari, a man who tries to help people in need despite not being a Pro Hero. After he and his friend–a performer named Pop Step–are attacked, a vigilante named Knuckleduster saves them. Koichi and Pop Step then team up with Knuckleduster to help more people by becoming vigilante heroes. You can watch the series right now on Crunchyroll.
