The Doll Festival is in danger, but who is the person trying to control everyone?
Things have been getting pretty complicated in Kei Urana’s manga, but this week’s chapter definitely takes the cake. Not only did we see the alleged Choker Maker’s demands for Rudo ‘destroying’ and then ‘saving’ the Doll Festival. We also learn that someone is trying to use the chokers to cast a spell on everyone and become the ruler of the world.

The issue begins with Agra and Mildretta talking to each other about their work right outside the location of the Doll Festival. Mildretta says that something feels dangerous, and suddenly, they’re approached by a number of Hell Guards. The scene moves to the Doll Festival as we see a girl making massive springy dolls with her powers. We then see Rudo, hunched over in a corner as a mysterious voice coming from his choker tells him to destroy the Doll Festival. We learn that Rudo wanted to find the Choker Maker to find a way to the Sphere, and the mysterious voice is claiming to be him. But before he can think about it, the voice orders him to seize this opportunity and get rid of everyone in the packed stadium.
The performer tells the tragic story of her life and how she received the doll from her grandmother and how it became her Vital Instrument. Rudo refuses to get rid of everyone on the ground. But the mysterious voice claiming to be Choker Maker says that there has been some confusion as Lily didn’t explain everything to him. Although he doesn’t have the time to elucidate everything to Rudo, he actually needs him to ‘save’ the people who are attending the Doll Festival. At Rudo’s confusion, the voice explains that someone is trying to use his chokers for malicious purposes. They have been trying for a long time and realised that there is no better way to rule everyone than use a communication device everyone has on their person all the time.
We then see Riyo telling Fu to come join them and watch the twins’ performance. The group notices that Rudo has been standing away from them for a long time. The voice says that this evil person wants to rule the world without a war. He thinks that everyone attending the festival is his doll to control through the chokers. That’s why, Rudo will have to save the people in the stadium from this megalomaniac. Just as he says this, we see a loud voice booming throughout the ground, telling everyone to be quiet. As silence falls on the stadium, the news reporter Mymo descends onto the ground. We learn from the voice that he’s the one trying to control everyone.
Gachiakuta Chapter 137 review
We don’t yet know whether this mysterious voice is actually the Choker Maker, but what he said about Mymo seems to be correct. The way the news reporter seems to be able to cast a spell on everyone just through their chokers proves that he doesn’t have innocent intentions. It’s likely that Rudo will engage with Mymo in the upcoming chapter, which will be really interesting. But if he starts using the attendees against the protagonist, things can get out of hand very quickly. The Hell Guards might also get involved in the process as they’re there to protect the Doll Festival and its attendees.
