Shiroyama was most well-known for his role as Ebizo in Naruto: Shippuuden.
Japanese voice talent management firm Project Baobab has announced on their website that voice actor Ken Shiroyama passed away last 15 April, 2025 due to natural causes. He was 92 years old.
Shiroyama has had a long career in voice acting, with roles going back to the 1970 anime Ashita no Joe. Shiroyama also voiced a number of characters in the Japanese dub of the 1985 The Transformers show, as well as Shogo Sato in 1992’s Yu Yu Hakusho, Valencia in Berserk (1997), Dr. Meisel in Spriggan (1998), Masayuki Oogami in Kaze no Stigma (2007), and Fujihiro Yamakawa in Strike Witches (2008) and Strike Witches 2 (2010).
However, Shiroyama is most fondly remembered for his role as Ebizo in Naruto: Shippuuden Part II. Ebizo is the brother of Chiyo, and stood as part of the Honored Siblings in Sunagakure. Ebizo featured in three arcs of the series.
The wake and funeral for Shiroyama was held in private, with the notice of his passing only being given a month later, due to his and his family’s wishes.
