July 2025 is going to start off with a bang for anime fans! It was announced that the original anime series Necronomico no Cosmic Horror Show is premiering on 1 July, 2025. Both the official website as well as the X (formerly Twitter) account of the series have confirmed the release date. Some new cast members have joined the show.

The new cast members of the anime are:
- Cthulu voiced by Manaka Iwami
- Hastur voiced by Kazuyuki Okitsu
- Ghatanothoa voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi
- Cthygha voiced by Ayasa Ito
- Zhar & Lloiger voiced by Zhar and Lloiger (they also debuted as VTubers on Sunday, 1 June)

The new trailer also previewed the opening theme song Kakusho-ron performed by Ryushen, and the ending theme song PANDORA by Vell ft. Noe from Colorful Peach.
The original anime series is being produced by Cygames and animated by Studio Gokumi. Masato Matsune is directing the project. Makoto Uezu is handling the series composition as well as the story draft. Jiro Suzuki is in charge of the original character designs while Evan Call composes the music.
The story of the anime revolves around Miko Kurono, a girl who started streaming under the name Necronomico after graduating middle school. She lives with her childhood friend Mayu Mayusaka. But her life changes when she comes across a new virtual reality game, which Miko enters along with Mayu, and her rival Kanna Kagurazaka.
