“Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter” anime announces 5 July release date with new character video

The new character preview is of Allen, the protagonist of the series.

The upcoming Summer fantasy anime Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter just announced its 5 July premiere date. The news was confirmed by the X (formerly Twitter) account of the series, which also released a character video for Allen. The main and additional cast, as well as staff details of the anime have already been announced.

The cast members who have been announced so far are:

  • Allen voiced by Yuma Uchida
  • Tina Howard voiced by Rina Hidaka
  • Ellie Walker voiced by Miyuri Shimabukuro
  • Lydia Leinster voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa
  • Stella Howard voiced by Inori Minase
  • Caren voiced by Ami Maeshima
  • Lynne Leinster voiced by Miho Okasaki
  • Felicia Fosse voiced by Kana Hanazawa

Studio Blanc is producing the anime series with Nobuyoshi Nagayama as director. Kaguya Ishiguri is the assistant director while Megumi Shimizu  is the scriptwriter. Akiko Toyoda is designing the characters while Kei Haneoka is composing the music. The new character trailer is of Allen, and it shows how Yuma Uchida’s voice fits with the role.

The original Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter novel series is written by Riku Nanano. A manga adaptation  by Tamura Mutō is also being published. The story of the series centers around Allen, a gifted magician who fails the exam for his dream job at the royal court. Almost out of money, Allen accepts a job at the countryside of training Duke Howard’s daughter Tina. Despite being academically gifted, Tina struggles with spellcasting. Allen takes it upon himself to guide the young duke’s daughter with his own unique brand of magic.
