Four new cast members have also been disclosed.
Based on Lewis Caroll’s famous fantasy novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, an anime movie adaptation titled Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland- is coming out in Japan on 29 August. Ahead of the release, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the film revealed some details, including a new theme song, four additional cast members, as well as a brand new trailer.

The four new voice actors who have joined the cast are:
- Tweedledee voiced by Ayumu Murase
- Tweedledum voiced by Subaru Kimura
- Yamane voiced by Yuuki Ono
- Nameless Apple character voiced by Natsuki Hanae
Previously, the main and additional cast members of the movie were announced. This includes:
- Rise Azumino voiced by Nanoka Hara
- Alice voiced by Maika Pugh
- Ko Urai (the butler) voiced by Shotaro Mamiya
- Fumiko Azumino (Rise’s grandmother) voiced by Keiko Toda
- Queen of Hearts voiced by Mayu Matsuoka
- Mad Hatter voiced by Koji Yamamoto
- March Haire - Norito Yashima
- Humpty Dumpty voiced by Ryuichi Kosugi, who is a member of the comedy duo Black Mayonnaise
- White Hare voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi
- Cheshire Cat voiced by Tomoyuki Morikawa
- Caterpillar voiced by Takahiro Yamamoto
The latest announcement also revealed that the movie’s theme song ‘Zukan’ will be performed by popular J-pop band SEKAI NO OWARI. Shochiku and TBS Holdings are co-producing the movie while P.A. Works animates it. Toshiya Shinohara is the director while Yuuki Kakihara is writing the scripts. Kōsuke Kawatsura and Mio Fujishima are designing the characters with kotringo composing the music.
As per the official website of the movie, the plot centers around a girl named Rise Azumino, a university student who always feels out of place. One day, she finds a letter left behind by her beloved grandmother and enters the whimsical Wonderland, where she meets a girl named Alice. The two of them embark on a mystical adventure through wonderland and meet White Rabbit, Caterpillar, Queen of Hearts, Card Soldiers, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Humpty Dumpty, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, who are twins, the Cheshire Cat and many more characters from Lewis Caroll’s novel. Chaos ensues as things start to go haywire in the Wonderland.
