The second season will feature double the cuteness!
The official promotional video of “Puniru is a Cute Slime Season 2” has unveiled a release date: 6 July! Besides setting the premiere, the anime has also revealed new characters and their cast, as well as key visuals and the anime’s opening theme song.

The original cast members from Season 1 are reprising their roles, those being:
- Yuu Sasahara as Puniro
- Shuichuro Umeda as Kotaro Kawaii
- Risa Shimizu as Mami Kirara
- Junya Enoki as Yusuke Nanpa
- Yumiri Hanamori is Alice Okanega
The new character, Gelee, will be voiced by Sumire Uesaka.
The opening theme song, titled “Brun Brun” will be performed by Yuu Sasahara as Puniru. Ibe Yuji helms the series as director at Toho Animation Studio, with series composition by Yokote Michiko. The screenplay is handled by Yokote Michiko, Hirami Mito, and Ikeda Rintaro, while the character designs are done by Tanaka Aya. The rest of the staff are:

“Puniru is a Cute Slime” is based off of the romantic comedy manga of the same title by Maeda-kun. The series began serialisation in 2019 in Shogakukan’s Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic, and currently has seven tankobon volumes as of February 2025. The manga also won the 70th Shogakukan Manga Award just this year.
