Three new voice actors have joined the anime.
The 12th and final episode of Wind Breaker Season 2 was released on Thursday, 19 July, 2025. The hype was understandably high for the finale, as some new faces made an appearance. Out of all the new characters, fans were undoubtedly most excited about Chika Takiishi, who is the main antagonist of the upcoming arc of the anime. They were even more hyped to learn who will be voicing this notorious character, however.
Wind Breaker Season 2 casts Hiroshi Kamiya and two more
It was revealed that Chika Takiishi will be voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya (Trafalgar Law in One Piece, Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan, Jinpachi Ego in Blue Lock). The legendary voice actor joining the cast has made the excitement for the next season even higher.
Two more voice actors have also joined Wind Breaker in the final episode. The new cast members include:
- Saku Mizuki voiced by Tomaki Maeno (Kinro in Dr. Stone, Kenzo Tanaka in Solo Leveling Season 2)
- Takumi Momose voiced by Kotaro Nishiyama (Koji Tatsuishi in My Happy Marriage, Kentaro Momose in My New Boss is Goofy)
Wind Breaker Season 2 has come to an end, and unfortunately, we didn’t get confirmation about the production of Season 3. However, the casting of these new voice actors means that we might get a third season soon enough. On the other hand, a live-action Wind Breaker movie was announced with a trailer. The film is set to come out in December 2025, although a definitive release date has yet to be determined.
The Wind Breaker anime is produced by CloverWorks and directed by Toshifumi Akai. Hiroshi Seko writes the scripts, while Taishi Kawakami handles the character designs. Ryo Takahashi composes the music for the series. The anime is based on Satoru Nii’s delinquent manga of the same name. Kodansha publishes the manga, and describes the story as:
Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings—he’s only interested in the strongest of the strong. He’s just started at Furin High School, a school of degenerates known only for their brawling strength—strength they use to protect their town from anyone who wishes it ill. But Haruka’s not interested in being a hero or being part of any sort of team—he just wants to fight his way to the top!
