After “From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman” wrapped up with its season finale on Saturday, 21 June, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for the anime unveiled a pair of videos announcing Season 2. The story of Beryl and his journey to become a master swordsman is set to continue sometime in 2026.
After an eventful first season that lasted 12 episodes, fans can expect further adaptations that will focus on later volumes of the light novel series the anime is based on. Although there’s not much information besides a confirmation for Season 2, we can expect more announcements in the coming months.
The cast for the anime also released a video on YouTube celebrating the announcement for Season 2, with Beryl’s voice actor, Hiroaki Hirata, pulling a string that unveiled the news, to the cheers of his fellow castmates.
