Zuma comes to Momo and Okarun with a new problem.
The most recent chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s hit manga, Dandadan, began with Zuma coming to meet Okarun and Momo at their school. He is shocked to see that Momo is stuck in her tiny body from when she was playing the Danmanra game with him. Zuma reveals that not only has his eyesight gone bad after the incident, but Daiki Hakono, the guy who was stuck in the Danmanra trunk, has also started to age rapidly.

Some students from Okarun’s school are seen gathering at the gate and looking outside suspiciously. Inside the building, Okarun wonders if Seiko Ayase will take his training seriously. Momo reminds her that she trained Jiji when he needed it, but Okarun still feels insecure about his lack of powers. As they reach the gate, Momo, Okarun, and Vamola stumble upon a crowd of delinquent-looking guys, who they identify as students from Renjaku. Okarun’s schoolmates ask him to talk to them since everyone is scared to go out.
Okarun and Vamola, who are carrying Momo on her shoulders, head out. Some of the guys start flirting with Vamola, but she doesn’t pay them any attention. One of them finally recognises Okarun by his glasses and says that they’ve been looking for him for a while. Suddenly, a tall guy wearing glasses approaches them and asks for the ‘tough chick’. At first, nobody recognises him, but Momo realises that it’s Unji Zuma, the one she went inside the Danmanra trunk with. Zuma is shocked to learn that Momo never returned to her normal size after coming back to the real world and says that he also has some bad news.
Zuma reveals that ever since the Danmanra incident, his eyesight has gotten poor, forcing him to wear glasses. He also brings in a tiny old man and says that it’s Daiki Hakono, the man who was first trapped in the Danmanra trunk. He has been aging rapidly even though he’s back in the real world. Since he went missing as a child, Daiki’s parents have refused to believe that he’s their son. Zuma says that he wants to help Daiki, and the only ones who have knowledge of supernatural phenomena like this are Momo’s group.
Jiji and Aira, who were still in the school, finally reached the gate. As he sees a strange guy holding Momo, Jiji thinks something bad has happened and attacks him. Aira uses her hair to grab Zuma’s hand while Jiji takes Momo into his own palm. Zuma also unleashes his Yokai power to fight them and demands they give Momo back. The three start fighting, but suddenly change back to their normal forms. Momo uses her power to stop them from changing as they’re in public and tells them to apologise to each other.

The return of Unji Zuma was definitely a surprise for everyone, as the last few episodes focused on the appearance of several new villains and power users. However, the fact that the Trunk’s magic is still affecting Daiki means Momo is not alone in this. The latest chapter has only made the lore of the series even more complicated. The group will likely head to Momo’s grandmother Seiko in the next chapter as she’s the only one who can help them. She will likely tell them about the Uchide-no-Kozuchi magical hammer that can turn Momo back to her normal size.
