Momo reunites with her grandmother in the hospital.
The previous chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan manga finally brought the protagonist Momo Ayase back to her normal size, after being small for a while and almost disappearing. In the recent chapter, she wakes up and talks to people normally. However, it seems that other than her grandmother, she doesn’t remember anyone else. Does this mean Momo has forgotten Okarun as well?

Dandadan Chapter 210 recap
The issue begins with Momo, now back to her normal size, waking up in a room with Vamola sleeping beside her. She goes out without waking up the other girl and meets a woman who asks her if she slept well and if she will have some coffee. Momo thanks and asks her where her guardian is and if she’s sleeping in another room. The woman leaves to inquire about the same and when she comes back, she tells Momo that her grandmother is in a hospital in the city. Momo asks if they could tell her where the hospital is, and the woman says they’ll arrange a car to take her there. Suddenly, Momo tells her that there’s a strange girl sleeping in her room, which means she doesn’t remember Vamola.
Momo reaches the hospital and runs to where her grandmother is. She sees Seiko arguing with Jiji about getting some convenience store food. Momo enters the room and asks what they’re doing at a hospital in Shimane and how they even got here. Seiko hugs Momo, glad to see her back to her normal size after so long. Jiji also says he’s happy about her getting back to normal and wants to hug her. However, Momo asks who he is and how he knows her name. Shocked, her grandmother asks if she doesn’t remember Jiji. Momo asks Jiji if he’s the same one she went to elementary school with.
The scene changes and we see Okarun training hard with Manjiro despite some difficulties. Manjiro also makes him do tasks such as cleaning the windows and floors. He asks him to focus his energy below his navel and visualise shooting the Chi out of his head. Okarun is willing to go through all the hardships for Momo, who is coming back soon. He is excited to meet her again. In the final panel of the chapter, we see Momo tell Seiko and Jiji that aliens definitely don’t exist. Which means she has no recollection of the past year or so since she met Okarun.

Yukinobu Tatsu, what are you doing? Please give my girl her memories back. In all seriousness, I do understand the appeal of making Momo, who has been at the center of everything from the beginning, forget everything that happened. It was Momo’s first meeting with Okarun which brought around both of their powers and set off a string of supernatural events of epic proportions.
There are of course many questions like: does Momo still have her powers? Does she remember Okarun from before both of them awakened their abilities? Will she be able to use her powers even though she doesn’t remember getting them? What will happen to the group now that the central character doesn’t remember them at all? The questions are endless, and only Tatsu can answer them.
