Ryuto's popular Isekai sci-fi is being adapted into an anime series.
We have some amazing news for all the Isekai anime fans. The popular Japanese publishing company KADOKAWA just announced that Ryuto’s Isekai sci-fi novel series Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! will receive an anime adaptation soon. However, other than this, no other details were provided in the X (formerly Twitter) post that was made from KADOKAWA BOOKS’ official X account.
The novel series first began publishing on a digital website back in February 2019. The print version of the series started serialisation by KADOKAWA BOOKS in July of the same year and has a total of 13 volumes so far. The manga adaptation of the novel, illustrated by Shunichi Matsui, has been publishing Nico Nico Manga and Kadocomi websites. The English version of both the novel series and the manga has been licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The story of the series revolves around Satou Takahiro, who somehow ends up inside his favourite video game featuring space battles and intergalactic colonies. He becomes Hiro, a powerful mercenary with a fantastic spaceship and girls who are tripping over themselves to become his lovers. With amazing battles and romantic relationships awaiting him, this is Hiro’s time to shine and live an exciting life.
