The evil Kito family is here again!
The previous chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga brought back the Kito family, whom you might remember from the Cursed House arc. They used to offer human sacrifices to the Tsuchinoko monster. After their arrest at the beginning of the series, this is the first time they’re back in the fight. With Momo’s group travelling to the Izumo Grand Shrine and all their curses worsening, the Kito family might just be successful in their attack.

Dandadan Chapter 193 recap
The issue begins with the group, which includes Momo, Jiji, Zuma, Vamola, Seiko, Raiya, and Daiki, sitting in a plane that takes off. Jiji is scared and Momo tries to console him. But a sudden turbulence causes her to lose balance and land on Zuma’s shoulder. We learn that although Zuma can’t see her due to the blindness caused by his curse, he still remembers and can hear Momo. The two get into an argument when Zuma calls Momo “girl”, and she remembers that she never really told him her name while fighting alongside her. She tries to tell him her name, but Jiji stops her and says there’s no reason to state her name because after the mission, they’ll be on their different ways.
Zuma is offended, and says he doesn’t want anything to do with Jiji either. However, whether he has a relationship with Momo is up to them. Jiji gets angry when Zuma likens him to a clingy boyfriend. Vamola changes seats with Zuma so he and Jiji don’t have to sit together. Momo notices that Seiko looks flushed and sick, indicating her worsening health. Jiji asks if she’s okay and offers to heal her with his Chi. But he doesn’t notice a man with a mask trying to stab him from behind. Suddenly, Zuma’s umbrellas hit the attacker, causing him to fall down.
More masked intruders emerge, and Momo’s entire group has to engage in a fight. Vamola also wants to fight but Raiya stops her. Zuma tries to get her to hide under the seats. But she changes into her Kaiju suit, shocking them. Jiji asks her to turn on empty space as a lot of normal people will be in danger if they start fighting. Vamola unleashes empty space, and now there’s nobody but Momo’s group and the villains in the space. The team gets ready to fight, and one of the Kito family sons tells their mother that they can use empty space. Naki Kito, the matriarch of the family, says that she knew they were special but didn’t know they were “bastards from that side”.
Dandadan Chapter 193 review
As a day one Okarun and Momo shipper, it hurts to see so many people hitting on both of them. I really can’t wait for them to reunite when Momo is back to normal and become a couple officially. But as for the upcoming fight, I’m excited to see what the group does. Although Momo still has her powers, she’s tiny now, and easier to kill. Zuma can’t see and Seiko is weak. It all rests on the shoulders of Jiji, Vamola, and Raiya. It also seems that Subterraneans like the Tsuchinoko already know about both the Yokai and the aliens, at least it seems to be so from Naki Kito’s ‘that side’ comment. With the final villain arc slowly approaching, things are only going to get more interesting in the manga. Also, did I just see a moment when Vamola could hear Momo? I'm so pumped about this arc!
