The new manga will focus on the Momotaro clan.
The popular new age Shonen manga Togen Anki just received an exciting update! The June issue of the Monthly Shonen Champion magazine by Akita Publishing announced that Yura Urushibara’s Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise manga is receiving a spin-off. Written and illustrated by Dōman Oda, the series will launch in the magazine’s July issue, which is coming out on 6 June.
Tougen Anki spin-off manga will give fans a look into the Momotaros’ lives
Tougen Anki tells the story of the age-old animosity between Oni and Momotaro. The protagonist and his allies are all part of the Oni clan, who are hunted down by those from the Momotaro clan. The original series forces people to think, what if the Momotaro are actually the bad people? However, this new manga will draw our attention to the other side. The story will focus on the past of Ousuke Momokado and Tsukuyomi Momoka.
Tougen Anki has also received an anime adaptation by Studio Hibari. It’s set to air in July 2025, although a release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
