The mini anime will feature the original trio: Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri.
As first reported by Comic Natalie, a new mini anime is set to screen alongside the Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Season 2 compilation film. The mini anime, titled “Juju Stroll”, will feature Gojo Satoru, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri, and will take on a more laidback tone as compared to the movie.
Yuichi Nakamura, who directed Season 2, commented about Juju Stroll, describing the mini anime as a “breather” that will showcase some gags that are “typical of Akutami-sensei”.
The mini anime revealed an announcement image and a teaser on the official Jujutsu Kaisen website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the series. The announcement image features Toji Fushiguro, Megumi’s estranged father, lounging in an onsen with his cursed spirit and surrounded by a number of rubber ducks. The teaser, on the other hand, showcases Gojo, Geto, and Shoko seated in a theatre.
Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory / Premature Death compilation movie details
First announced on Day 2 of Anime Japan 2025, the compilation movie will compress the first two arcs of Jujutsu Kaisen’s Season 2, which followed Gojo, Geto, and Shoko when they were still students, and why exactly Geto left the sorcerer world.
The movie is set to premiere in Japanese theatres this 30 May, 2025, while GKIDS has acquired the license for a North American release. American fans will be able to watch the compilation film when it premieres on 16 July, 2025. Although the mini anime will feature alongside the Japanese premiere, no news has been revealed for the American debut.
According to GKIDS, the story of the compilation film is as follows:
Before they were enemies, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were high school classmates and friends. The two powerful sorcerers are tasked with protecting Riko Amanai, a student who has been designated to be sacrificed as the Star Plasma Vessel, until she can fulfill her duty. Pursued by a religious cult and other curse users, they are the only sorcerers capable of carrying out such a difficult task – but this mission will set their destinies, and challenge the two sorcerers in ways unimaginable.
