The series will return sometime in July 2025.
After the release of its latest chapter, Chapter 34, the RuriDragon manga had some unfortunate news to share with the readers. According to the official X (formerly Twitter) post from the mangaka Masaoki Shindo, the series is entering a two-month hiatus. The series will resume publication some time in July, but the exact date is yet to be revealed.
The break was announced by the author himself
Masaoki Shindo uploaded a small snippet from this year’s 25th issue of the digital version of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. This confirms that RuriDragon is going on a two-month long break due to an unknown reason. Chapter 35 of the series will be published sometime in July. Previously, the manga went on several short breaks due to the author’s poor health condition.
At first the series was published in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, but was later moved to the digital edition of the same. It’s also available on the official Shonen Jump+ website, the Manga Plus website, as well as the Viz Media website. New chapters usually come out every other week. The author also published two one-shots, Joreishi Rentarō no Yakusoku and Count Over, in the same magazine.
The story of RuriDragon revolves around a young girl named Ruri, who wakes up to find horns on his head one day. Her mother reveals that Ruri is actually half-dragon as her father is a full blooded dragon. With new abilities unlocking at every turn, Ruri has to juggle high school, friendship, and her dragon powers all at once. Thankfully, her family and friends are always there for her.
