The food gag manga series Genkai OL Kirigiri Giriko (Office Lady Giriko Kirigiri to the Extreme)by Miitosupa Tsuchimoto is getting a light anime adaptation. The news was confirmed by the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the new series. Cast and production details were also revealed. The series will begin streaming on 28 May, 2025.

A light anime adaptation is basically a cost-effective way of producing an anime with more focus on the original manga panels. The Genkai OL Kirigiri Giriko light anime is debuting on 28 May. New episodes will stream on the X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok accounts of the anime on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. A compilation episode will also be released every Tuesday.

Dai Nippon Printing is producing the short 30-second episodes of the anime. The manga has been serialised on Shonen Jump+ service since December 2024. The story revolves around Giriko Kirigiri, an office lady or OL who eats extreme meals just to survive. These meals include untoasted bread garnished with salt and MSG.
