The Milky☆Highway sequel released a new trailer.
In 2022, animator Yohei Kameyama released a CG anime short titled Milky☆Highway, which became really popular. It was recently announced that the franchise is coming back with another CG animated short titled Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express on 3 July, 2025. The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the series also confirmed a list of cast members. Moreover, a trailer and few preview videos have been released for the anime.

The writing, direction, production, sound production, and character design of the anime is all done by Yohei Kameyama. Fans can watch the short anime on TOKYO MX or its YouTube account on 3 July, 2025. The official website describes the upcoming sequel’s premise as:
Super human Chiharu and cyborg Makina got arrested for breaking space traffic laws.
They're stuck with a crew of misfits who got caught around the same time: Akane and Kanata, the super human pair; and Kurt and Max, the cyborg pals. Ryoko, the police officer,
sentenced them to clean up the interplanetary train – the so-called "Milky☆Subway,"
as their community service.It should've been a simple job – until the train suddenly takes off into deep space!
