Fans are excited as the first glimpse of the series suggests a Wild West theme.
Boichi, the South Korean manga illustrator known for his phenomenal work in Riichiro Inagaki’s Dr. Stone is returning with his very own manga. Set in the Wild West, the title of this upcoming series is The Marshal King. As per the announcement, the manga will be serialised in Shonen Jump's magazine starting Friday, February 7, 2025. The new chapters will also be released simultaneously for global readers on the Jump+ and Manga Plus websites and the Manga Plus mobile app.
The first glimpse of the manga, shared by the Manga Plus official X (formerly Twitter) account, shows the silhouette of a man wearing a cowboy hat. This and the name of the manga have caused people to deduce that the series will have a Wild West cowboy theme. Everyone is really excited about it since Boichi has done amazing work previously, not only as an illustrator but also as a mangaka. Originally from Korea, he’s known for his artwork in Dr. Stone and One Piece episode A. Other than that, he has also written multiple original series such as He Was There, Trigun: The Lost Plant, and Sun-Ken Rock. Among these, Sun-Ken Rock is the most popular one.
Everyone familiar with Boichi’s work in any capacity is very excited about the upcoming project, which will start serialising next week. On January 31, 2025, the author himself posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, to share the news of his new work with his fans. In the post, he mentions that although he’s shy, he’s excited to share this new project with everyone and hopes they’ll look forward to it. However, no more details have been shared about the manga yet, and everyone is eagerly waiting for the first chapter to drop!
