The Even a Replica Can Fall in Love light novel series gets anime adaptation.
Based on a Japanese light novel series written by Harunadon and illustrated by Raemz, Even a Replica Can Fall in Love is confirmed to receive an anime adaptation, which is now currently in progress. The announcement comes from the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the series, and came with a teaser trailer commemorating the news.
The light novel series began publication under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko in February 2023, and has released four volumes since then. The series also received a manga adaptation illustrated by Momose Hanada, and began serialisation in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Maoh magazine in April 2023. The light novels received an English release and are currently available on Yen Press, with the official synopsis for the story being:
When she doesn’t feel well, when there’s a test, when she doesn’t want to go to school... I take her place. I’m her replica. I’m not meant for anything else. But that changed when I fell in love. I wear my hair up so the boy I fell for knows it’s me. We skip school and promise to meet again tomorrow, and every day after. I’m her replica. Everything about me is borrowed and empty, but my heart is mine.
The official cast, staff, and studio is yet to be revealed, but we can expect more information in the coming weeks.
